I definitely laughed out loud quite a lot during this episode. Classic stuff in there, good references, etc.
Was maggie in the robot with Homer near the end? I taped the episode and checked it out, she seemed to pop up from the bottom of the robot as it was getting beat up.

Too bad it took so long to get this ep to air.
As good as it was tonight, it would have been AMAZING if all those batling robot shows were still on every other cable channel like they were a few years ago.....

south park has spoiled us by being able to keep up to date so well, but there's not much excuse for being this far behind...still, it was funny

enjoyed it
Lots of good gags, lots of good references, both to popculture and Simpsons universe--like the way they pre-avoided any continuity gripes about the cats--when I first saw Snowball V, I thought, My, that cat looks just like Snowball II.
Biggest gripe--*#*$ing football. *$&$ing Fox. Obviously someone does, but I don't care to see a bunch of cro-magnon troglodytes throwing around a piece of a pig. And I sure don't want to see it for the 25 minutes I'm friggin waiting for Simpsons to come on. I have always liked Fox, but mostly because they were the 'alternative' channel, showing things most others wouldn't--but now between NFL and the stupid 'reality' shows [American Idol--a THREE NIGHT series premiere? And Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance? I dearly dream of the day when the only 'reality' shows on tv are things like Rescue 911.]

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this episode was great. I laughed out loud too many times to count, begining with the Milhouse gag.
As a whole this season is probably the funniest in the last four or five.
