Problems with Memento: Limited Edition

I realize this is a bit late, but this problem has been bugging me big-time. For all owners of the Memento: Limited Edition, it's no secret that the second disc contains a version of the film in chronological order. My problem is, after the credits roll (first), the film freezes at the 00:23 mark! I thought it was my disc, but a second copy has the same problem! The worst part? This version of the film disables fast-forward, rewind, and chapter skip functions...so I'm pretty much stuck. I use a Toshiba player myself, and was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem.

Hi Randy,
just popped mine in...at exactly the 00:23 mark after the credits, there is a very quick fade to black, almost short pause that seems like it is supposed to be there, then back with Leonard talking to himself and timing picks up with 00:24, etc.. so sorry to say no freeze on mine.
Let me know if I can help anymore..

How old is your Toshiba and what model number is it? Some of the early Tosh players were notorious for choking on some of the more difficult discs.

I recently watched Memento in chronological order on the 2disc set, and I had no problem.
It doesn't flow through like any regular movie, so it keeps on searching for the next chapter. The only problem like stated before is you can't do anything once it starts, other than pausing and, resuming and stopping.
So I guess it is your dvd player. My pioneer dv343 has had no problems with it, (knock on wood).

Many problems were reported with Memento's chrono edit and Toshiba players back when it was released:

Ah...seems I'll have to wait a bit to watch in, then. No biggie.
