Top Spin poll

Just curious of how many people playing Top Spin play or used to play tennis on a regular basis.

I used to be pretty good, but I haven't picked up a racket since I graduated from high school... almost 10 years ago.

I used to play quite regularly...even took tennis as course in college. Sadly, I don't get the opportunity to play as often anymore. Incidently, tennis is proving to be one of the few sports games I can play without being overwhelmed by the controls.

The 2 sports I occassionally play in real life, are the only 2 sports I enjoy playing on the consoles.... Tennis & Golf!!

These 2 games may force me to buy a network adapter (PS2 - TW 2004) and online membership (Xbox - TopSpin)

Since you have both consoles... for online play, you'd pick Tiger Woods over Links?!?

Funny, I hate golf(never played), but really enjoy video game golf.

So those that are experienced, do you think your real world experience translates into the virtual world? I do, because I absolutely hate playing doubles with friends on video games. Why? They don't know the aspects of playing the real sport. They are all over the court going for shots that should be the other player's and leaving the court open for attack and stuff like that. It is quite annoying. The person at the net swinging to return the serve. Sheesh.

I played Pong, now Top Spin... Actually, TS is pretty easy against the comp, but on XBL, I got my butt kicked left and right.

Ain't that the truth. Tells you something about the AI though.

I played a couple of times - until I got hit in the nose after missing an overhand smash of a short high lob.
