Best place to preorder, in terms of getting DVD on time?

What online store, such as DDD, DVDPlanet, Amazon, seems to have the best record of having preorders delivered before or on the actual release date? I've decided to start preordering stuff online, and it is important that I get my movies on time. Thanks!

I have great luck with amazon. Even with the free shipping, I tend to get dvds release day, or the day after. I notice they ship from delaware which is not that far. Not bad for free. DDD takes a while longer.

Always go with amazon.com. Dvdplanet was my first choice because of their low prices, but their shipping was frustratingly slow. For a dollar or two more, its worth getting the dvds on the release date (or even earlier) using amazon rather than getting the dvds a week after release date with dvdplanet. I haven't tried DDD, but from what I hear, amazon is still better.

Have to agree - AMAZON.COM! I order R-1 DVDs from Amazon.com (notice my location to the left) and they take into account where I live and mail them out way early, and even here I get them on or before release day - sometimes several days before release day. I use the very cheapest international shipping method too! I don't pay the high price shipping rates!

DVD Empire has always been the best for me. Very fast shipping on pre-orders!

I usually get pre-orders from Amazon a week to nine days after the release.

I order from Buy.com (at least a week before street date) and I get them the Saturday before the release date.

YMMV.

Same here for me.
If I want it mailed to Japan, it's Amazon.
If i plan on returning to the States, I use DDD and have them delivered to my plance there. Of course I order waaaaaaaaaaaaaay in advance. Takes a little time sometimes.
