Identity: DTS???

Hey all,

Just wondering if another region had the foresight to release this with DTS and REMOVE the nasty full screen version.

Anyone know?

...the Australian DVD is anamorphic 2.40:1 widescreen... but NO DTS (would it really make that much of a difference for this particular movie...?...)...

. . . . . .

there are many movies that don't need dts and the only use is just to say 'i have the dts version'. i don't know. i think the only movies that need dts are action movies.

Gee, thanks for your educated opinion.

Anyone have any information pertaining the subject matter?

Thanks.

Well digi, I've looked about and found no pertinent help. Sorry.

It hasn't been released everywhere yet, though. Plus, it's a lower-tier Columbia release... there may be a Superbit planned.

Thanks Donna

I'll update the thread if I find out anything.

I figure that even if I find a version that DOESN'T have the full screen version, it will utilize all that extra bit space on the movie and other stuff. Would have to look better no?

Interesting that the R4 version has the writers commentary. Any other regions have this?

The R3 Korean release came out and there's no DTS track. It's the same as the R1 release but there's no option for the full screen version (full screen, in my opinion, is silly, so I'm happy about that).

Like Donna said, look for a Superbit later on. Columbia eventually has Superbit titles for every movie.

Does the R3 have the writers commentary? They are adding that in some regions where they get rid of the full screen version. We didn't get the writers commentary which I hear is very good.

Only the director's commentary on the R3 release... unless the writer's commentary is an easter egg...
