Jp film - Dolls, which version is gd?
i just saw the new korean version is out and also with english subtitles. has anyone seen it yet?
i'm considering the transfer quality versus the price. is the jap R2 worthwhile with more superior transfer to the kr edition? is the hk edition has decently good transfer to that of the kr edition?
usually korean prints have fairly excellent transfer, but there are fairly large discrepancy in the pricing between the 3 prints. the hk print is usu less than US$12, the kr print abt US$20 while the jp print more than US$30.....

I have the Korean version - haven't watched it yet, but the presentation (packaging) is top notch and I can only assume the video and audio are also outstanding.

but has anyone seen the hk edition (and best in comparison to the kr edition)? i'm asking this mainly becos although hk edition is much cheaper, sometimes they are in full screen and/or with poor transfer which make it unworthy of even that cheap price.

the only versions worthy of buying in my opinion are the J2 and the newly issued British release as they are both anamorphic.
HK3 and the Korean releases I believe are not.

this is dvdbeaver's review of the r3. Not sure there is a review of the British disc yet HOWEVER, given the excellent treatment Artificial Eye always delivers to their World Cinema line.....i believe it is a safe bet to go with them (as j2 is obviously going to be more pricey).
Cheers,
