Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl R2 UK
I have only managed to find one review of the R2 UK disc (at the BBC Online website). Having seen some rather lukewarm reviews about the R1 disc so far as the video quality is concerned, I was wondering if the R2 UK disc might be a better bet (and certainly cheaper than the R2 Japanese disc discussed in another thread).
It has pretty much the same specs as the R1 except that it does not have the French DD 5.1 track. I figured that since the most damning criticism of the R1 disc is the result of cramming too many audio tracks (1 DTS, 2 DD 5.1, and 3 commentary tracks), the R2 UK should theoretically have better video since the loss of the French DD 5.1 track should free up some space for the video.
Has anyone seen a more comprehensive review or (better yet) had the opportunity to compare the R2 UK and the R1 discs?
