Potter book 5 - Paperback?

My wife and I have been (finally!) reading the Harry Potter books, and I am nearing the end of Goblet of Fire. We have held off buying Order of the Phoenix, thinking we would buy it in paperback to go with the rest of the set. I was thinking 6 months would enough lead time, but I haven't seen it up for order at Amazon or anywhere yet. Any timeframe of when a paperback would come out?

The other books have taken a long time to come out in paperback (as in a year or more). Don't hold your breath.

Considering Book 4 came out in paperback in July of 2002(when the hardcover was published in July 2000), I wouldn't expect it for quite a while. You're much better off purchasing the hardcover IMO.

The Potter books are worth splurging for hard-cover. If you really want to wait you can possibly check it out from a local library to read and then get it for keeps when it hits paperback. Most libraries have a waiting list on them, though.

I have hard-cover sets of both the U.S. and U.K. versions. I love how they look on the shelf.

I'm guessing Summer 2004 for a paperback date...probably about the same time Prisoner of Azkaban hits theaters.

It won't be out in paperback until it stops selling well in hardcover.

They have been taking two years to come out in paperback. I predict summer of 2005 for the pb Phoenix.
