Yamaha RX-V1400 for $529 shipped (authorized dealer, too)
6th Ave Electronics is currently substituting the new yamaha RX-V1400 receiver for the older RX-V1300. Currently listed at $799 on their website, the RX-V1400 is one of the newest receivers available. The RX-V1300 is listed at $529, saving $270 over retail price. (NOTE: to get this price, you do have to call...just ask if the RX-V1300 is in stock, and they'll offer the 1400). Their phone is 877-684-2831.
6th Ave also has 6-cent shipping, which for a 30+lb receiver is a STEAL! The total comes to $529.06 shipped.
6th AVE is an AUTHORIZED yamaha DEALER which makes this very hot, as not only are you getting the best price (bar-none) available on this receiver right now, you'll have no warranty issues.
To make this deal even hotter, it appears that these units have already been upgraded with Dolby Pro Logic IIx (the first receivers available with this feature). Should, for some reason, you not get one that has the upgrade, you can send it to yamaha for the free upgrade (you pay shipping TO them, but they pay shipping back). But, several people at AVS forum have already received them with the upgrade, and the salesmen have said they are sending the upgraded units.

The RX-V line is typically sold through Yamaha authorized audio/video specialty retailers, and is not available for mail order sales.

What is Dolby Pro Logic IIx?

Make sure they're authorized to sell over the internet. I have no idea about Yamaha, but some brands don't allow it and don't provide a warranty if you buy their products that way.
