I see there is an upcoming release for On Golden Pond.

Does anyone know if there are any compelling reasons to upgrade from the standard release of this film?

This film truly is a classic, and is fondly remembered by many.

I just saw this in the Best Buy ad. It appears to have a couple new documentaries and its anamorphic, according to Amazon.

Not sure if I will upgrade.

From what I have heard, there is a new 5.1 track and a slightly improved transfer which is anamorphic. HTF did a review on the disc.

I never picked up the 1st release. I'll be grabbing this one.
