Best Sopranos episode??

Out of the 4 seasons of the Sopranos, which is your favorite episode? Please use spoilers if you want to explain a plot point.

IMHO -

'Knights in White Satin Armor' from season 2 is the best episode.

'Pine Barrens' from season 3 gets an honorary mention though.

Pine Barrens

Don't know the name of the episode, but the one where Tony takes Meadow on the college tours is my 2nd favorite.

Yeah I'd say "College" followed by "Pine Barrens"

Which one was the one directed by Steve Buscemi? That one was great.

"Pine Barrens" was the one directed by Steve Buscemi.

"I Dream of Jeannie Cusamano" is one of my favorites.

Any of the ones that feature Livia always gets a thumbs up in my book. She's a hoot.

I don't know the title, but I really like the Executive Game episode. Richie Aprile was scary as hell when he came in and saw Davey Scatino playing.

Honk!

Except for the episode where she dies (I think it's the 2nd episode of Season 3). I hated that they used old footage of her on the body of someone else. How many times does she say "I don't know what you're talking about" and "Ahhhhhh!"?

"The Happy Wanderer"

funstan - You are right. For the dramatic content, "Employee of the Month" rocks. The end of that episode where Melfi breaks down during a session then decides not to say anything to Tony is just fantastic!

Steve Buscemi directed an episode written by Michael Imperioli (Christopher) in season 4 as well. I can't recall the episode off the top of my head though.
And Steve Buscemi will play a character in Season 5.

My favorite one is probably Amour Fou, which was the one with Gloria saying
Spoiler:
kill me, as Tony strangled her
and then Patsy telling her
Spoiler:
if anyone killed her, it would be him, and it wouldn't be cinematic.
That episode also has another one of my favorite lines
Spoiler:
""I didn't just meet you, I've known you my whole ****ing life!"
Actually, pretty much any of the Gloria episodes were pretty good.

Also, the one where Ralph killed
Spoiler:
Tracee.
Pretty intense. That one is called "University".

Also, the next to last episode of season 2 ("The Knight in White Satin Armor"), where Janice
Spoiler:
killed Richie, which I totally did not expect
and they built up towards Big *****'s
Spoiler:
big finish on the final episode of that season

Finally, season 4 as a whole was weak, but the last episode was pretty intense.

The episode is called "Everybody Hurts."
Spoiler:
The one where Tony discovers that Gloria commited suicide. Interesting how Buscemi introduced Gloria Trillo in "Pine Barrens" and was called back to direct this episode. Kinda going full-circle.

Damn..there are too many great episodes to pick just one. College, Pax Soprana, From Where to Eternity, Whoever Did This, Commendatori, The Strong, Silent Type, and Pine Barrens are the first ones that come to mind.

yeah really, that was kind of gross, anyone know if that was for real or if it was a special effect since it looked real.

It wasn't real...it was a mixture of a few different things. I remember reading about it somewhere (TV GUIDE, perhaps?...maybe EW). I remember the actors saying they all got kind of sick during the filming!

I wonder if that would help your acting career if you could vomit on demand. I think it would probably have the opposite effect.
