Arrested Development 11/02

I thought this was a great show. I usually think most sitcoms are crap, but I really enjoyed this one. I hope it stays on for quite a while.
But then again, quality shows on Fox usually means early cancelation.

I liked it. I'll be tuning in, although I have to sort of watch it live because of football running late.

I thought it was pretty good. Jason Bateman was excellent, and Portia DeRossi was very funny. Also, you can never go wrong with the great Jeffrey Tambor. I will definitely check it out next week. Let's just hope that Fox doesn't give this the same treatment that they showed Family Guy or any other great show they've had for the past 5 years.

This was semi funny, I'll keep watching. So is Ron Howard going to provide the voice narration throughout the rest of the shows?

Argh, my Tivo only got 10 minutes of this because the whole local Fox affiliate was delayed.
I was reall looking forward to this and I liked what I saw.
Anyone know if Fox will repeat it or repurpose on FX?

I thought it wasn't bad. I couldn't get over the fact that Jason Bateman looked too young to have a son that old. But I guess I still picture him as a kid on "Silver Spoons" or one of the sons on "Valerie."
I'll give anything with David Cross in it a shot.

I watched this only because it was conveniently scheduled after "Malcolm in the Middle." Before watching, I had no interest in the show. After watching, it's now one of my favorite sitcoms. There were several moments that had me cracking up.
I was turned off by Jason Bateman's presence. But he was good. Really good, actually.
What a pleasant surprise! I look forward to next week, although I agree with the assessment that this show is too good for Fox. It's doomed.

If shows like Andy Richter, Futurama and Undeclared couldn't make it on FOX, this is doomed I think. I enjoyed the first episode but it's definitely not an "easy" show for Jox Six Pack, I'd be hard-pressed to describe it in one sentence for newcomers. It's almost too smart for TV, unfortunately... but I'll keep watching until they can it.

I thought it was OK. I think using the Family Guy-style of having pop-in scenes was kind of lame.
That said, I will never watch it again because it's on vs. Alias. I only caught it last night because it started later due to football.

Some generally funny cast members (Jeffrey Tambor, David Cross) here, but it seemed like the show was trying too hard to be odd and quirky.
I gave it a shot, but the whole thing felt a little forced.
I won't be back next week.......

Wow - I thought the show was great. I was falling out of my seat laughing. Looks like one more show to add onto my season pass (ugh...I've been trying to cut them down).

Hard to judge based on this episode since they had to cram a lot into a half hour just to get the introductions out of the way. It definitely has potential. It would have to be pretty bad for me not to watch this just to gawk at Portia DeRossi. She made me stick with Ally McBeal far too long

I didn't think it was that funny. I was hoping for another Scrubs, where you laugh out loud, without the aid of a laugh track. But I don't think a laugh track would have helped this one.
I will give it a couple of more episodes, but if my reaction is the same as with last nights episodes, then I will cancel my season pass.
Also:
FOX was fourth with the 6.8/10 for the "Malcolm in the Middle" season premiere and a 5.2/8 for the debut of "Arrested Development."

I thought it was freaking hilarious. Just this scene alone had me laughing for a bit. The oldest brother trying to get a magic gig:
Dad of kid: "We're looking for someone in the alliance"
Magician brother: "Congratulations" (to younger magician)
Young Magician: "F*** off, traitor!"
It went something like that. I thought it was hilarious...I'm kind of surprised more people aren't going to give it another chance. There aren't a whole lot of series you can base your liking on with the initial episode...maybe I'm wrong though.
