This sounds marvelous... but why don't amazon.fr and the other major French etailers list it as being available? It was supposed to be release Oct. 14, right?
And by some miracle, would the extras (documentary, etc) happen to be subtitled as well?

This is getting mysterious-er and mysterious-er.
I've done a pretty thorough check, emailed everyone from amazon.fr to the company who puts out the DVD (no reponse)... and this thing doesn't seem to be available anywhere!

Available at FNAC (www.fnac.fr) search for "trilogie pagnol" in "recherche" .It is priced 80 Euros. DVD is edited by a pretty small company.
The good news is that there is an audio commentary from Pagnol (!) on them
My guess is that even in France it will be difficult to grab a copy.
