I had a similar D-Link router in August of 2002 and it didn't work properly with the voice chat in SOCOM so I exchanged it for a Linksys which has been flawless ever since.

Yeah I had that D-Link router for the XBOX, and even though some people said it would work I couldn't get mine to work.

Now the D-Link DWL-810+ wireless bridge, that works flawlessly with game machines. I recommend getting the Microsoft Wireless Basestation (MN-500), you can find it on eBay for around $30-$40, it works great, and you can still hook up four wired ports to it. The benefit is that you have the ability to go wireless when you so desire!

FWIW : I use a cheap wired D-link router at my computer and a D-link switch at the other end and my PS2 and Xbox both work beautifully without any problems at all.
