Where is ALIEN playing in theaters?

None of the major theaters around my house are listing ALIEN: Director's Cut... yet.

I thought it was a major re-release.

Bummer if it's not playing around me, my friends and I were planning to go see it on Halloween.

It's playing at the best theater in Washington DC. Also, playing in a DLP digitally projected screen in Maryland.

Here in DC it's at the largest theatre in town - The Uptown, however the sneak tonight was at the Cinema.

the 5.1 sound though was very undynamic. Sure it's pretty much a quiet movie, with several jarring in your face moments, but the 70mm print I saw a couple of summers ago (as well as the current DVD) have far better discrete soundmixes,

the audience flipped at the teaser for "Alien Vs. Predator"

This is pissing me off! I thought it was going to get a big rollout, ala "Exorcist:TVYNS". I originally thought it was coming out on Halloween (Friday) but then last night I saw a commercial on television (the first ad I've seen) saying it was to be released on Wednesday.

So, I've checked all of the local theaters, and it's NOWHERE today!!

The local arthouse theater is supposed to have it on Friday, but I want it NOW. NOW!!!

For the Phoenix AZ crowd, its in the Cine Capri !!

It's also not showing as a "special engagement", so get out those passes!

It is playing in 4 "local" theaters here in the San Diego Area. San Diego proper, Mira Mesa, Chula Vista, San Marcos. I'll see it this weekend for sure.

Boxofficemojo lists the theater count as only 336, it's not showing in my town at all.

You're right. Lame that they had the coming soon posters up. Oh well, I wasn't planning on catching it anyway, just trying to be helpful.

I read in the paper today that when it's released in theaters, not only will there be ONE added scene but they will be CUTTING parts out! Tightening it up to keep the pace moving... That's what they called it.

Once again the film industry is exposing the general public's A.D.D. problem with movies. I'm going to f//king stop before I start TYPING IN F//KING CAPS!!!!! DAMNIT!!!

actually they are adding 5 new scenes (they're on the current dvd, but this time theyre more finished) but taking out a scene for pacing. And our paper gave it 4 stars.

I just saw it in Chicago AMC 21 with DLP. The picture looked unbelievable...great experience seeing it on the big screen. The movie didn't look dated at all!! The sound wasn't that great..just average though.

I didn't notice much difference ... I thought the

Spoiler:
cocoon scene did was unneccessary and slowed down the final few minutes however. I prefer the original version.

It seems to be appearing in about 12 theaters at the moment here in South Florida from Miami to Boca.

I just might catch this....I've seen it before, but never in the theater.

What screening did you catch? I hit it up tonight, too.

The picture was great, and maybe I'm just looking for it now in DLP, but didn't the images seem, for lack of a better word, "soft"?

Anyway, great movie, and since I've only seen the film once before now, I didn't notice the "added" scenes or whatever. Everything worked well enough, with the exception of one rough cut into a SFX shot.
