Same price. Its says , "DVD is PAL or NTSC compatible/VHS is PAL only". Maybe they have a PAL version available.

I emailed DVDSource in the UK and was told there are no distributors in the USA. So I ordered it, $22 shipped.
Not bad at all.

..."$22 shipped" for a "nine-odd minute film"...?...
...hmmm... methinks a person must really want that film...

Wow. I just happened upon this site and this thread and I immediately ordered the disc (I checked Amoeba Music, a local place here in LA that carries UK DVDs, but the guy had never even heard of the film.)
Background: When I was 14 I worked in the Audio Visual department of our small town library in Ontario, Canada. We rented 16mm films and projectors (this, as I'm sure you've guessed, was pre-video. It was 1980, so it was more like on the cusp of video becoming less about porn than about regular films. Anyway...)
We had a huge selection of film prints, many of them reduction prints from 35mm negs and plenty of stuff that originated on 16mm. Rendezvous was one of the shorts that we had that I grew to love over the 4 years I worked there. It looked pretty good, all things considered (obviously the image was much better than a DVD but the sound was a bit thin, and mono, of course.)
But I had just discovered pot and so my friends and I would get very, very high on black Lebanese hash and screen this thing over and over again. It was amazing to watch then and the only way I've been able to see it since is on a crappy rental tape from Paragon home video that I got once at Videots in Santa Monica. It looked terrible, and sounded worse (and believe me, the sound on this is important...)
So I can't wait. I would pay 50 bucks for this. I consider it a bargain.
Over and out.
