Quality of HK versions of X-Files?

Greetings-

I've looked thru all 3 pages of this forum and haven't seen anything about it, but apologies if this has already been covered.

I've been considering getting some of the X-Files DVDs, but at $120 a season, it's a pretty serious investment. I've noticed on a popular online auction site that folks from Hong Kong are selling all 7 series for less than the price of one season here (well, with shipping, it's a bit more than one season, but it's stiill pretty cheap!) They claim they're the same quality as the US editions, they're legitimate releases, and that the only difference is subtitles that can be turned off. Has anyone tried the HK X-Files releases? Are they NTSC or PAL? The guy's selling "Friends" seasons and "24", too.

Thanks in advance!

i know the majority of Hong Kong DVD releases are in NTSC. and if you're grabbing the legit copy, make sure it's got the Deltamac logo. and yes, Deltamac uses the same resource given to them from FOX.

If it's that cheap then it's probably a bootleg.
Rule of thumb: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Maybe some long-time contributor* to this forum can email me if they have some insight as to these DVDs being legit.
