I just bought Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Special Edition for $5.88 @ Wal-Mart
I was going to Mr. Wally's Place to see if he had the 2 Paramount Hammer disc for $5.88 and I happend to go looking through there regular selection and found a copy of TCM that had a $5.88 sticker on it that was for "Howling 3 Video" and I took it to the cashier to see if I could get it at that price and to my suprise the Hot Little Thang behind the counter scanned it and it showed up $5.88, so I was able to walk out of Mr. Wally's Place with about $40 worth of DVDs (DVDEmpire prices) for under $19.
& the transfer doesn't look that bad to me so I think this disc might be remastered

Somebody probably mistakenly put a $5.88 sticker on the original instead of "The Next Generation". It's around $19 at my Wal-Mart.
Nice find BTW!

Actually the sticker was for a VHS copy of The Howling 3. It even showed up as VHS on the ticket, I knew VHS was still good for something
edit In case anyone cares I got it from the Fort Scott, Kansas Wal-Mart. Didn't know if anyone else lived in (or visited) this monkey feces of a town.

Wal-mart doesn't scan price stickers, they scan UPC codes.
I may not have understand your post correctly. Are you saying that it had a price sticker of $5.88 and a UPC that scanned for $5.88.
How does a VHS UPC code fit on a DVD case?

I use to work for Anderson, the company that handles video/music/books for Walmart. I still talk to friends that work for them. This DVD was shipped with a wrong UPC CODE. I am not sure if its a Sticker Over the WRONG UPC or the RIGHT UPC is now a sticker or if its a computer error that was fixed. I was just told that about 30-40 Walmart's got this error! The Anderson Rep was told to look for it and pull it. I checked my local stores and they didnt have it. I talked to the REP I know and he said he didnt find any within his area. Damn my luck!
