Beetlejuice needs some special treatment!
This is absolutely one of my favorite movies ever! Why isn't there a special edition of this out there. I sometimes watch other movies get special, ultimate, collector's, platinum and whathaveyou editions and deserving films like this one are ignored. I was at BB the other day and saw a special edition to "Enough", thats not fair man, someone has to be shot!

There has been repeated mention of this title getting an SE. I actually sold my old copy a while ago when I though it was going to happen (around when Edward Scissorhands was released as an SE). Since this is a WB release, it isn't out of the realm of possibility - especially considering the SE they put out for Pee-wee's Big Adventure.

It's taken how long to even get a confirmation on a Batman SE?
How about Ed Wood?
I'd looooove a new version of Beetlejuice, but realistically, even if someone mentions it being "in the works," we won't see this for years.

Yes, this is a title that needs a new version on DVD. I had a few ideas of what would be neat to have on the dvd.
From the Make your own SE thread:
Tim Burton Commentary
Danny Elfman : "Composing Beetlejuice" Featurette
Alternate commentary by Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder
Cast/crew interviews
Special Effects featurette
Pocket version of the "Handbook For The Recently Deceased"
Life after Death documentary
Beetlejucie commercial (The one shown in the movie)
Deleted scenes (if any), gag reel
Anamorpic widescreen
Trailers
And I thought they could use the model of the town as a way to navigate the menus.

Warner Bros. needs to revisit all four of their early Tim Burton DVD's. "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" came later and is a respectable DVD, but "Batman", "Batman Returns", "Beetlejuice" and "Mars Attacks!" are in desperate need of new transfers and special features.

Hopefully the Elfman isolated scores will be carried over in cases of Beetlejuice and Mars Attacks!
Oh and did I miss the Batman SE confirmation, jdpatri? There've been rumors, yes, but no official word that it is really coming.
