Will Miramax try to triple its Kill Bill's gross?

They have already figured they would double it by splitting it in two, now all they have to do is pull a re-release a week or two before volume two comes out. I would say most of the people that saw it in this original run would go again in order to get hyped up for volume two. I wouldn't be surprised if this happened and I would almost definitely go. So what do you guys think? Is it going to happen? Would you go?

By the way anyone see Quentin's Bootleg trailer included on the soundtrack? It's kind of interesting as it seems to have been made before the split so includes some scenes from volume 2.

No, I bet they split it into KILL BILL VOL. 2 and KILL BILL VOL. 3 instead. I mean, who in this day and age can stand to sit still for 90 whole minutes?

Bah, they should have made each chapter a separate release, released a week apart. Just like the old serials.

Seriously, I predict that the Vol 1 will either get a theatrical re-release or a DVD release shortly before Vol 2 comes out (I'm leaning toward the former).

I don't think most people who saw part 1 are going to want to see part 2, let alone part 1 again.

While there might be a Kill Bill Vol. 1 theatrical rerelease, it'll be very limited and would be, if done, more for fans than money. I seriously doubt a wide release would make much money at all. Nor will it happen. More than likely a DVD release will happen early february.

Wow, just wow. Considering that it got a an 8.8 rating at IMDB and is listed as #88 in the top 250 films, and it has only been out two weeks.

I guess it is a hated movie.

Since when did IMDB ratings mean anything?

Wow, a bunch of overwieght internet college film geeks gave it a high rating. Whoopie-doo.

I might as well search the Amazon.com reviews for definitive guidance too.

Wow Revoltor. Did you get beaten up by IMDb users as a child? Earlier today?

I think it's easy to see that those IMDb ratings mean: a lot of people really like Kill Bill, and with good reason. Seems pretty self-evident to me, don't now how you missed that.

No. A lot of IMDB people really like Kill Bill.

If you belong to that collective, then I apologize. I will however not accept that some silly internet rating holds any credence. Now that's pathetic.

Does that include Rotten Tomatoes? How is it pathetic?

What about the internet users that post here? Why are they pathetic?

MrPeanut and Revoltor,

This isn't a "Review Kill Bill" thread. But I do find it amusing that anybody who doesn't share your opinion is "pathetic."

No, it just means we should all turn to Mr. Peanut and Revolter for the true measure of a film's worth.

Kill Bill exit poll Exit polls indicated 90% of the audience the first weekend wants to see Kill Bill — Vol. 2, said Rick Sands, Miramax chief operating officer.

I know I didn't go see Part 1 because of it being broken into two parts, so I'll not watch a re-release or Part 2. I don't want to support this type of studio behavior.

I'll get the all-in-one DVD.

i can certainly understand that..........but you probably would gripe if it was one long arse 4 hour movie also........what do you think they should have done? cut it to pieces to make it fit?
