When i think sylvia plath, I think paltrow.
Come to think of it, when i think of vomit, i also think of paltrow.
Wow, she reminds me of so many things.

hey, don't knock till you see the film. I saw a sneak of the film last night and I thought Paltow did a commendable performance - understated but noteworthy. The film, like "Frida" unfortunately is an acting platform and shadows the actual (and minimual) plot of the film. The film is a v-e-r-y quiet film and is pretty much all doom and gloom (how very British). Not great, but decent.

Paltrow is a hell of an actress. She can play anybody.
But if the director doesn't make the film dark and true
to Sylvia Plath then it's a waste of time.
That's not to say you have to have an "oven" scene or anything but this just looks way too dry.
Plath fought against a lot of 1950's principles and this film doesn't seem to cover that.
But will sure for sure once we all see it.

This is Paltrow's vanity project. She's been moist for years to play Plath. It's an age-old story. An actor finds that they are regarded as lightweight, despite winning awards, and is determined to go through with material that shows his or her chops. Something heavy, something depressing, something that has interested them since he or she was a child. Sometimes it turns out well, but it can also end with a huge black mark on a career. Paltrow is not the first, and won't be the last.
