New Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD Packaging??

I may just be picky about my DVD's but there was no plastic wrap on the slip cover of my TCM DVD so Circuit City just slapped the theft tag and price tag right on top of the slip. So when I took it home I thought it was just a price tag, so I peeled it off. And then there was the damn metallic theft tag that is usually inside the case, so now I have a big ass metallic square sticker stuck to the cover. Do you think they will exchange it?

my cover is trashed. I had the same problem. just don't try goo gone to remove it because it stripped the black off the cover. I don't think they will but you may get lucky. I know mine wouldn't.

I have a friend who works at Circuit City maybe she can grab me a copy before they slap the stickers on and let me switch it out.

Is The Transfer The Same As The Old DVD?

My long distance friend just recently bought the TCM DVD and he says it looks alot better than the previous DVD version. Is this true because I've been hearing that it's the same transfer? I already own the old version so I don't want to shell out more money for the same transfer.

These were all found on the first 3 pages:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=324105
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...5&pagenumber=1
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=323760

This was without actually using the search button. If you tried 'TCM' that probably wouldn't get much. Searching on the full title yields a cornucopia of delight:

I don't care how many threads there are, this is the first one I came across.

The cover sucks!!! Cheap plastic slip sleeve and that stupid ass jewel case?!? Man were they penny-pinching on this deal!!! Thank god I had the old version and didn't have to upgrade.

Huh. Hearing everyone dump on the quality of the hamburger meat cover packaging is making me think I should switch my order (which is held up at Amazon) to the black/chainsaw amaray package. And here I was thinking the former was the one-to-have since its supposed to be 'limited' packaging??
This whole TCM release sounds to be just a disaster to me...

Well perhaps JJE-187 just didnt want to get the forum clogged down with repeat threads. There is about 47 TCM threads on the front page alone. But he's just Dvd talk Special editon, what does he know?

I like the ground meat cover, and think it's a great disc. What do I know?
