Bad Avalon news -- barebones & dub-only

AnimeNation says the R1 Avalon DVD will be dub-only and without extras. The MSRP is $19.95, which is pretty brazen considering the 2-disc Korean release can be had for only a few dollars more.

If anybody from Buena Vista is listening, you just lost a sale. R3, here we come!

Just by the Region Free HK version, the disc says that it is region 3 but it is Region free. It can be bought for around 10$, and has a good print and pretty good sound complete with english subs. I bought it and don't regret it.

once again, if you don't agree with Disney (not Di$ney)'s choices in marketing, the best you can do as a consumer is to ignore the product being released and put your hard earned money to a product that is put out by a company that listens to your suggestions or requests

I should have known Disney would screw this up, after shelving the distribution of it for something like 3 years.

Maybe time to track down a Region 0 copy...

You simply have to get the Korean 2-disk release. The full bit rate DTS-ES soundtrack is amazing! I can't believe they haven't put it on the R1!

Yeah but the problem is if it doesn't sell decent why would they bother revisiting it? They are too dumb to think it didn't sell well because it wasn't the right version to have on DVD, they'll just think nobody cares about the movie in general.
