Anyone know anything about the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game?

I saw a preview for this on my Best Buy promo disc and it blew me away! It looks like that old arcade game that use to be on super nintendo! I loved that game and played it all the time. Im really curious about this game but the only game site I know about (IGN) doesnt say shit, just shows screen shots (which look greaet!). So does anyone have any info on this or at least a place that gives some info?

Thanks

I saw a movie for the game on IGN (I think). While it looked pretty cool, the audio was very annoying. Apparently every time one of the turtles attacks, they shout one of about three phrases out. On the video I saw, every two seconds I heard "Slice and dice! Slice and Dice!" or something to that effect.

Yeah, I believe an EGM review complained about the constant screaming of "SHELLNADO!"

Oh well, I mainly play with tunes jamming anyway. I hardly ever hear the games audio.

And damn, only 2 people care about this game? Or only 2 care to reply lol

According to the Nov. 03 Xbox Magazine, the TMNT game will only support two players.

Boo, I was looking foward to this, because I assumed it would be a four player coop style arcade game, oh well. I will still try it out probably.

I saw a preview or ad in gamepro this month, had not had time to investigate it further.

it should be out soon and there are no reviews which scare me, this is my most anticapated game of the year.
The GBA version was rated pretty bad by EGM, hopefully the Xbox and Ps2 version fare better

According to the official website... 2-player cooperative and 2-player competitive modes are included.

Boo! I was looking forward to 4-player as well... but I'll still get it!

This is one of my highest anticipated games ever on XBOX. I'll be picking it up today after work. It does suck that it doesn't have a four player option - even the old school TMNT games had four player. I am a little weary about the whole screaming phrases over and over again, I hadn't heard anything about that.

Gamespot Reviews

Score 6.5 for all 3 systems

PS2
http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/t...es/review.html
Gamecube
http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/act...es/review.html
Xbox

Last paragraph
There are things about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that can be praised. Its graphical style is quite pleasing to look at, and the game certainly deserves points for giving you a multiplayer option (even if it would have been better served in four-player instead of two-player). Unfortunately, the gameplay, though an earnest attempt to mirror its predecessors, is too hollow on its own merits and simply lacks the charm and fun of previous titles. That is not to say the game is a total loss, by any means; younger fans of the new TV series will likely not be swayed by the game's elementary fighting mechanics and should find the storyline entertaining.

Before you guys go and pick this up, definetely play the pc demo to give yourself an idea of what you are getting into.

I was a huge fan of the original beat-em-up turtles game, but this game is just plan suck. I cant see how it is getting as good of reviews as it is. It has easily the most repetitive gameplay ive encountered in a long, long time. It is a shame too, I was really looking forward to this game.

Game scored a 5.3 from IGN. It sounds truly crappy.

I wonder how it can be any more repetitive than the side-scrolling arcade game.

I'll probably give it a rent.

It probably isnt any more repetitive than that, but there is one key difference. The original arcade game is STILL FUN. This rehash is boring and simply just isn't any fun.

I guess I still can't see how games that seem to have essentially the same gameplay and are from the same license can be all that different. Everything I've seen makes the game look like a re-make of the arcade version, in 3d, with new enemies.

I like the original (I still play it on my MAME machine) but there isn't much to the game. So it's hard for me to understand how this could be THAT much different.

Like I said, I'll give it a rent.

I liked the original arcade game and Turtles in Time on the SNES. I've been watching the new cartoon on TV and its also pretty cool, it has a much darker atmosphere than the previous one. The scores are disappointing but I'll still rent this as a fan of the series .

Boy I'm looking forward to this game myself I hope it's at least half-ass good. I like the new cartoon to it's some bad-ass shits I tell ya. I'm damn sure at least renting it.

Now I just want the old cartoon on dvd and my world will be a happy place.

X-Play previewed it the other nite. Even with the limit footage displayed, you can get a feel for how annoying the same yell is repeated over and over and over again every time an enemy is hit. Gfx looks nice though!
