How many fantasy films can you name?
How many fantasy films are there out there? I have asked several friends of mine and we can only come up with a few. The sci/fi films are the ones that always brought up. With the great sucess of Lord of the Rings we hope that there will be more interest in fantasy films. I am not looking for only the "great" ones made but any halfway decent fantasy film.
I have:
Willow
Princess Bride
Ladyhawke
Highlander
Labyrinth
Harrypotter
Dragonheart
Excalibur
Dark Crystal
Reign of Fire
Neverending Story
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Lord of the Rings
Underworld
Any others would be appreciated. Come on fantasy lovers, what movies are out there for us to collect or wait to come out on DVD.
Thanks

DVD Talk Hero
• Quoth DonnachaOne •
Depends on your perception - personally, a lot of what is deemed science fiction (Star Wars, etc.), I'd put in fantasy.

Definitely add in the Star Wars films.
Dungeons & Dragons
The Wizard of Oz
Hook
Masters of the Universe
Hmm ... this is tough. Most fantasy films I can think of are better categorized as "comedy" or "anime."
Perhaps Ever After, Alice in Wonderland. Maybe Willy Wonka. Edward Scissorhands? What Dreams May Come. Merlin. Kinda streching the genre a bit, but some ideas.

How bout the Conan movies?
and, urr Beastmaster, and the equally bad The Sword and the Sorcerer? Or Yor, Hunter from the future? How about Krull?
Fact is there are so many, and sadly, most are terrible.
