Going on a trip to Tokyo & Hong Kong! Any MUST BUYS??!
Hey fellow dvdtalkers,
I'll be going on a vacation trip to Tokyo & Hong Kong in December, what are some "must have" DVDs from those regions? (The only one that I know I'm getting for sure is Jet Li's "Fist of Legend")
Please also tell me, what are the best editions of those DVDs to get? Especially the HK ones, I know they often have multiple editions and some may have inferior qualities.
I'm also interested in European flicks that are released in those regions (R2 & R3?) but not in here (R1). Or even US movies that are censored in R1, but released as uncut in those regions.... speaking of which, I think there should be a list of these titles here on this forum, don't u think?

Fist of Legend, hah! There are no good versions of FOL on DVD. The Taiwan Ritek version is in Mandarin only. Good luck finding this. By far the best version is the LD.

Got my Ritek Fist of Legend years ago. As Yellow Hammer mentioned, it is highly unlikely you'll find it.
Best to check out the following link for ideas to find what you want to look for.

Battle Royale had a very good following in the U.S. and Europe...big mistake that the import of BR2 doesn't have English subtitles, I would have bought it for sure..oh well..I'll wait for a subtitled edition.
