Anyone know the title of this pretty good samurai flick. I saw it a few years ago on of one of Turner's cable tv either TNT or TBS. The plot if I remember tell about a young pacifist feudal lord who did not want to go to war with the other lords but went in anyway after witness an incident with one of his subject. That all that I remember, some great battle scenes, I believe there was a American male actor who did a voiceover in the begining and ending of the flick not a very good one IMO. I know it not made by Kurosawa, it was shot in color not sure of year maybe in the eighties. Also, is this on DVD? any help appreciated.

The only thing I can offer is that I doubt TNT or TBS showed a Japanese movie.

Heaven and Earth (1991) aka Ten to Chi to (1990), maybe? Stuart Whitman handled the narration in Heaven and Earth; he once co-starred with John Wayne in the film "The Comancheros".
