Is Microcosmos dubbed in English?

A wonderful French doc.

This title is available at Amazon Canada. R1 and NTSC and released by Christal Films. Does anyone own this and can verify the language and whether it's anamorphic?

...erm... according to this site, the Canadian disc (on the Lions Gate label) is fullscreen, French language only...

...whereas... the R2/PAL French Collectors Edition features an anamorphic 1.78:1 transfer, and a dts soundtrack...

...incidentally, there is only one very brief, spoken paragraph - at the start of the movie - to the effect that, in any grassy meadow, there exists a whole world of life that we know nothing about... then the movie shows just that, without any further comment...

. . . . . .

Aw, hell.

I guess I'll have to get the French R2 release then. I've read that the narration does not last for more than 30 seconds anyway for the whole length of the film.

Thanks, Hendrik.

pro-bassoonist...I kept looking for any info about the US release but I can't find any. Do you have a link to the news or the DVD cover?

Cheers!

ps.
If you HAVE TO HAVE IT NOW....then you could consider the Korean 2dvd release (which as you know is NTSC, in case you have a problem with PAL) which also happens to have English subs and DTS track but it is R3. So, if you are region-free....look here:

Duh, I should have searched also for a Korean release. Since I try to stay away from a PAL copy as much as possible I forgot to look in Far East. I'll go for this one I think; January is too far away.

This might be off-topic but what are your impressions, guys, about Korean transfer quality. Forget about supplements or DTS or commentaries--just the transfer. Are they better than the Hong Kong, or China or Japanese versions? I'm curious since I plan to order a lot of DVD's from them. Any thoughts?
