HMV sale now on

Some great pickings on R2 discs at HMV (where they deduct the VAT when they calculate your total cost) -

Picked up just a few goodies:

The Taming of the Shrew (Zefferelli) 9.99 GBP
The Graduate 5.99
The Sicilian (a blind buy because John Turturro is in it, directed by Cimino) 5.99
and Henry V (Olivier - not Criterion Collection) 4.99

all four set me back 27.55 GBP shipped (about 45 bucks). Not bad at all, I'm thinking.

Picked up allot of the ST-TNG boxsets for half-price (£44.99) and got Space 1999 - Year 2 boxset for £29.99.

Other than that, the HMV sale aint all that!

The Virgin sale has Sum Of All Fears at £6.99, which tempted me to buy a movie I yawned over on the big screen. Turns out it's excellent on DVD with a cracking transfer - showing me after the disappointing Gangs of New York and Catch Me If You Can transfers that excellent DVD disc transfers are still possible. Ben Afleck is good in this as well, probably the best screen Ryan. All for 7 quid !

Still a disappointing movie, a second best Ryan, maybe, IMHO.
