Borg Cube - Complete Next Generation Collection - Gotta' Spare £450 ($747) ?

I did a quick search and couldn't find any mention of this:

Paramount have just sent us full details of their November 3rd release of The Borg Megacube. This set will include every single episode from all seven seasons of the highly acclaimed Sci Fi TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Containing no less than 48 DVDs and boasting a £449.99 RRP, this could be the largest and most expensive commercial DVD box set released to date.
These will be limited to 1000 sets.

You can find the full press release and box art here.

I dunno, man... at that price, I was expecting the box to look *MUCH* better than that. Maybe it's just a bad photo. But I was expecting more (and was actually a bit tempted to grab this, before clicking the link).

That price I think it is very good for 48 DVDs.

There's another thread about this in the main forum. I estimate it can be had in the US from amazon.co.uk for just about US$500 ($480 + s/h of $20-30). Plus you get that super-duper clock!

Imagine if you had one defective disc and had to send back the whole set...

No need to estimate, really. It is 338.23 preordered (that is GBP) .
And just in case nobody noticed, the link above does not show a photo of a real box, it is just a computer graphic.
