This film is one I always felt could use a special edition with tons of extras, but the director wanted the film to stand on its own... that's too bad - I would've loved to see some behind the scenes and outtakes and such... even a commentary by cast and crew would be great. This one only has a few extras that I'd be interested in... kinda sparse for a 2 disc special. I'll keep my eye open for a good price though - thanks for the heads up.

Unusual cover. I recognze the taxi motif, and I like that it alludes to the more fun aspects of the film, but this film is so colorful and bright - I reckon they should have picked a more substantial cover.
Maybe it's just a slipcase with the poster art underneath, like the excellent packaging for The Long Good Friday.

Though not as nice as the teaser poster. That one just looks cool. You know, the one that's just "IT MU5T BE FOUND" against a starfield.

Luc Besson has go on record stating that he will not contribute any extra material to this movie, as it says everything he wants it to say in the current cut.

What's the actual date for this set. Amazon UK has one listed for November 3rd and I've also heard November 24th. Which one is the right one?

damn man, I think I have to get this since the German Deluxe edition I own doesnt have the audio commentary. I think this has got to be at least the fifth time I have bought another version of this film on video (laser, DVD, superbit DVD, German DTS-ES Deluxe edition).

Meh... I like the fact that the original art is under the slipcase though.
How much you wanna bet that there's an easter egg on that screen? Or just DVD credits. Which suck.

You can see some comparison screenshots between the R1 Superbit and the existing R2 UK Pathe release here

Well, it has next Monday as a release date and myself and a friend are excited about it.
Anybody else or are we all waiting to see what someone who has ordered this has to say?
