Chuck Palahniuk Book Signing - NYC 9/12/03... Who's up for it?!

I know I am. Third book signing in a row I've been to of his, they've only gotten better. This one seems like it's going to top his past ones. www.chuckpalahniuk.net reports that 15 people have passed out during his reading a short story he wrote called "Guts".... 15!!! PAssed out! Cold, on the floor. Just... Woah...

I'm going, video camera in hand. Books in hand. Digital camera in hand.

Who else is up for it?

"Guts" is pretty hardcore, I saw him in Beverly Hills last night. He came bearing gifts. I love Chuck.

If I had time I would go to see him. He's in Brookline MA tonight which is near to me, but I just can't make it. Damn it!

It was definately awesome... During the first half of Guts, I was wondering what the big deal was about. It was funny as hell, but nothing to cry or pass out over. But oh man... what a slap in the face.

    Amazing.

I sat in the second row on the left side... I was the dork with the Video Camera. If I buy a DV wire soon, I promise to transfer the reading to a computer format.

Here are some pictures I took. http://www.petridish.net/albumview.asp?a=10642

And I even asked him to talk to my girlfriend who couldn't make it due to being at college in upstate ny. He happily obeyed and had a nice short little chat with her while signing my books and hers. Lots of fun to be had.

He called me greedy due to the fact that I brought my copy of Choke back for him to sign for the third time, and Lulluby for the second. It was quite funny.

At the Kansas City reading, he was pretty clear on the the fact that he doesn't want his reading recorded and distributed.

He didn't mention anything there... But I won't distribute it if that's his wishes... Don't wanna get sued by the coolest guy ever, do I?
