Kieslowski's Dekalog Polish DVD

Warner Brothers Poland will release Kieslowski's Dekalog on dvd on Oct 24.

It's a boxset of 11 discs with each episode on 1 disc. The last disc contains archival materials from polish tv about the director. It has Eng / Fr subs.

Special features include actors / producers' interviews. Not sure if they're Eng sub.

It seems that Dekalog 5 & 6 are not the longer versions.

For box cover see http://isdvd.pl/run/film/5036

Anyone order from isdvd.pl before ?

Re: Kieslowski's Dekalog Polish DVD

Wonder how the transfer compares? If it's Warner it's probably going to be sweet and one episode per disk - oh sounds like heaven!

I have a Polish friend who I may have to persuade to bring me back a copy when she next goes to Poland on holiday

Sounds like overkill to me, unless they have something like an hour and half's worth of extras per disc.

You probably don't like Superbits either do you? High bit rates are wasted on you

Release date November 28th now apparently.

The interesting news is that according to this website Warner Brothers Poland have confirmed these are all new transfers.

(Scroll down to Sept.11th)

Any possibility of Xploited Cinema or Diabolik DVD picking these up i wonder?

Just in case anyone missed it, mastersofcinema website clearly states that there are no English subtitles on any of the extras. Rats.

Whilst it would be nice to be able to gain an understanding of the supplemental material just having NEW transfers of these is far and away good enough and i have a strong feeling that with each part assigned it's own disc and with WB at the helm that the results will be very satisfactory.
