One quick Wasabi question

Jean Reno does his own English dubbing, right? I think so. I am watching it now, in French, but I just checked out the English dubbing to see how bad it was and it sounded like Jean Reno plays himself. I'll delete this thread when the movie is over, assuming there is an answer. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure he did his own dub in Wasabi. I also got the impression that the girl playing his daughter did her own too.

But why delete this thread? What if someone else has the same question? It really bugs me when people delete threads, this isn't IM or IRC and the archive of past topics is an INVALUABLE resource.

Ok, I thought it was a one question one answer type thread, and I know some forums are delete or lock happy when the thread is like that. I certainly don't mind keeping it open.

Ok, to further the topic, does Ryoko Hirosue speak French? Or did she just practice sounding out the words (likely via katakana or romaji) without knowing what she's saying? Or was it someone else? I haven't heard her other stuff, but assuming her Japanese voice is her, her French voice sounds like it's her as well.

That movie was cool. I have no idea about the other actors, but Jean typically does his own dubbing - he's got a pretty unique voice.
