Squadron Supreme 3rd printing
After 3yrs of looking for this TPB, Marvel finally decides to reprint it.
I'm surprised at how good it is. It seems to handle all the same issues Dark Knight does, a year before. It's kind of humorous having DC inspired characters exist in a Marvel (albeit alternate) universe.
Great book. Mark Gruenwald truly deserves his props. If you like DK and Watchmen, you'll get a huge kick out of this. Revisionist superheroes before everyone else.

If, ten or so years ago, you would've bought the first printing of the book, you would've gotten the edition with Mark Gruenwald's ashes in the ink.
And I didn't think the gimmick comic books would sink below nude cover variants.

I've heard mixed things about Supreme Power. Ralph (Karate Kid?) Macchio does the forward, where he says the team members come from Marvel characters.
Now I know the folks at Marvel aren't clueless, but maybe he is. It's clear they're JL inspired characters, they even say as much in the nice dedications in the SP TPB.
I know about Mark's ashes in the 1st TPB printing. His wife says in the forward that it was his last wish that his ashes be included in one of his books. The 1st ed goes for $50-$100 on eBay. The 2nd printing was almost impossible to find. MSRP for 3rd printing is $30, I picked it up for $17- well worth it.

actually, i ended up ordering this off ebay for $15 plus shipping. most comic websites have this out but my out of my two normal places i buy books, amazon has this being released in 1903 (!) so they are a bit behind, and books a million has the wrong MSRP. 39.99 instead of 29.99.
