For me, it was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, til after a lot of bargaining and me winning a bet, we watched episodes 1 & 2 together...the rest is history, it is something we actually enjoyed as couple ended up watching EVERY episode together.
I converted a skeptic into a fan!
Similiar situation with the Sopranos.

Like reality TV. I can't stand it yet she watches them all.
There is nothing real about it. It's all fabricated to make drama and to get viewers to watch. Blah.
At least she watches football with me. She's a keeper

Buffy and Angel. I love(d) 'em, my wife isn't interested at all.

Not sure if this counts, but pretty much any anime. I'll rent something from Netflix that I think she'd enjoy, and invite her to watch it [sometimes a movie, sometimes a TV series], and she'll keep saying No. Then when I do go ahead and watch it, she'll come in for the last fifteen minutes and ask what's going on, who's that, etc. I'm glad she's interested, but come on!
As anti-TV ["the vast wasteland"] as I appear to be, I actually do use my TV a lot. Mostly thanks to the PVR and TV on DVD/Netflix. [just started watching Six Feet Under, which so far is awesome.] And of course PVRing the Simpsons and Futurama [which I thought she'd like, she likes the Simpsons and Red Dwarf, but she didn't get into Futurama.] I did get her into Red Dwarf, but now that it's being released on DVD, we don't have the time to watch together, and when we do, we'd rather watch a movie or something since we don't get to very often. She'd rather get on the computer and chat with her bbs friends, I'm not a chatter, so I'll put a DVD in or clean up the PVR.

It's not really considered a show but a sport.
I enjoy watching hockey and he does not. He will usually sit there for about 5 minutes of the first period and then he leaves. Nothing like watching a good hockey game by yourself huh?

I can't get my gf to watch sci-fi with me at all, be it tv show or movie. I've been trying to get her to watch Starship Troopers with me for a while, and she has to leave the room whenever I watch ST:TNG on TNN.
But at the same time, because of our different tastes, we've turned each other on to some cool shows. I've turned her onto Buffy, Angel, Nip/Tuck, Six Feet Under, and Coupling so far. She's turned me on to CSI and most likely Alias once we start watch S1.
Now, if I can just get her to watch Babylon 5 with me, I'll be in good shape.

My wife watches most of what I watch but she goes to bed when I go to the TIVO menu to watch PTI, Around the Horn, and my guilty pleasure...Paradise Hotel.
On the other hand, she loves Monster House and Garage, American Choppers, Alias, 24 and most of my other favorite shows.

She cannot stand any Sci-Fi shows, she hates Futurama, doesn't like Buffy or Angel so we can't watch TV together, like she wants, unless we watch her shows. About the only shows we can watch that we both like are Smallville and Fear Factor. Other than that it is a constant struggle.

For some reason she always singles out my watching of Curb Your Enthusiasm as being something she doesn't understand why I watch.
She had stopped mentioning the wrestling shows/dramas.

I think Angel is the show my husband hates the worst. Yes, he HATES it. He has issues with the whole vampire with a soul thing, like it's supposed to be realistic or something. He didn't like Buffy either, but he would actually sit and watch every once in awhile(especially if Eliza Dushku was on) , but he refuses to watch Angel.
He isn't into the supernatural type stuff, so he just rolls his eyes when he sees me watching anything that has to do with witches, ghosts, or vampires.
