Is Showtime's "Dead Like Me" Really a Hit?

I'm just wondering. Personally, I watch it but I don't know if others do. On Showtime, they always bill it as the summers biggest hit and show all these quotes from TV critics...

Anyone know if it really is a hit? If it is, I don't hear much buzz, be it on this board, entertainment shows, or even entertainment magazines like EW.

Also, I heard there will be a behind the scenes of the show on Sunday. But does anyone know if it will be on tonight or next Sunday?

How many episodes are in the season? I haven't seen any since we don't get Showtime in Canada, but one of the movie channels are starting to air them in September.

I heard 15 episodes for a season. I like the show, but it's no where near HBO's top shows (Oz, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Sex and the City, Curb Your Enthusiasm)

Calling it the summer's biggest hit smacks a little of wishful thinking, since Queer Eye probably gets that bouquet in terms of critical reviews, audience reponse, and media coverage.

I watched a few of the Dead.. episodes and found them pleasant enough time-fillers, but nothing that locked me in. Sort of "if I have nothing else to do and think of it, I'll maybe watch" kind of thing.

Actually, they are starting to show this tonight on the Movie Network here in Canada, so I will watch the first couple of episodes and see if it interests me enough to keep watching...

It's probably Showtime's biggest hit; that Showtime show starring Felicity Huffman doesn't get as much coverage.

Is that Out Of Order? If so, wasn't that only a limited 6 episode series? From what I read, if the ratings were good they were going to bring it back next year, but I don't think the ratings were extremely good.

I believe Dead Like Me is going to have 13 episodes this season. Jewel Saite (from Firefly) is going to be in the season finale.

I like it. It's nothing earthshaking in terms of quality, but it's at least got a little originality, and Mandy Pantinkin rocks in everything he does, so it's worth watching.

Saw the first episode and didn't really like it that much. I will give it a chance, but based on the first show, it is not something that I would keep watching...

I've yet to catch it (but I want to)... it seems to just be on when I'm doing other things.

It's a nice show and all, but there's no drama. She's dead, there's nothing worse that can happen to her.

And I'm not too into the angle with her family either.
