TV you won't watch until syndication

In the same vein as the 'TV shows discovered on syndication' thread.

Are there shows you missed the beginning of and will not start watching until they are syndicated?

For me, it is Alias. I missed the first few seasons so instead of starting to watch it now and not know what happed before, I'll start watching when it runs weekly so I can start at the beginning. If it is still on the air then, I'll start watching the new shows after I see all the past ones. (I know the DVDs are coming out but I won't drop $100 on a series I might not like until I see them)

I'll also start watching Stargate if I know when the first episode is airing.

Alias is a good call. I'll catch these down the road when it is on 5 days a week. I might do the same for 24.

For me, it would be Angel. I didn't see it when it started, and it only airs once a week on the Space Network here in Canada, while Buffy airs nightly. Hopefully if Angel switches to nightly, I would be able to catch up...

Ailas.

I saw the first episode and then I missed it.

It really upset my mom because she can't talk about the latest episode with me.

Everytime she starts, I say "mom, I haven't watched since the very first episode"

I am getting the 1st and 2nd season sets when they come out this year. Maybe early next year, they will have a Alias marathon of the beginning season 3 episodes so I can catch up and watch it every week.

You should tape/TiVo/whatever Season Three so you can have a marathon. I would definitely recommend that everyone try to catch up with Alias through the DVD sets since I really think that it is the best show on TV (taking over from 24 and Buffy)...
