Since the show has only been out one season and is a sitcom, I wouldn't expect any release any time soon.

But man-o-man, I would be there in a second if it did!

I love that show... Here's hoping it does get released on DVD and soon.

Oh, and it's already finished two seasons and the third is lined up, in progress and going strong. See here.

FWIW, here is the "official" Scrubs message board where there seems to be a HUGE demand for season sets.

I've noticed when watching this show that there is A LOT of music used. Would music clearance be an issue to getting this released?

And no, I am not talking about the West Side Story parody: A surgeon and a doctor ABOVE IT ALL!

This is absolutely the funniest live action show on TV.

Methinks people should vote for this show on TVSHOWSONDVD.com.

The studios do monitor that site to see what items people are interested in.

As far as I know, most TV shows now have such clearances written into the contracts. It's a recent thing, because shows such as "Freaks and Geeks" or even older TV shows that use a lot of popular music "Miami Vice" either can't release stuff on DVD (Miami Vice) or the set will cost quite a bit ("Freaks and Geeks") because of liscencing issues with the music.

Original music written specifically for the show (for example, "ER") is considered part of the series, so all the publishing company has to pay is the people who wrote the music, which (I think) is much cheaper and eaiser to clear.
