you just gotta pick Freddy vs Jason. So unique. When was the last time you saw two major major horror icons fight.

Can't wait for the dvd.

I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't read the books...but post this thread once the year is over, and we've seen Return to the King.

Freddy vs Jason.... For two reasons.

(1) Two modern day horror icon's duke it - just like the old days..

(2) The wait... We've been waiting since 'Friday the 13th: VII' for this one...

I don't think you can call 'T3' epic. It was the same as 'T2', 'cept with a female Terminator... As for Neo and Agent Smith - it wasn't all that epic, maybe 'Revolutions' will make it more epic and meaningful.

That actually get's my vote for worste fight of the year.

I'd also go for F vs J even though I didn't like it. Just because they are 2 movie icons & it's something people have been talking about in geeky conversations for nearly 2 decades.

People cheered in my theater during some of the fights for Charlie's Angels 2. That doesn't mean anything, ESPECIALLY since you saw it opening weekend, which means the theater was filled with bias Matrix fanatics that couldn't wait they had to go & see it the weekend it opened. Neo could have pooped on screen for 2 hours & the crowd would have cheered as long as the poop came out in bullet time effect.

It's just my opinion. The fight looked like a video game to me. It is the EXACT OPPOSITE of "best" IMO & it's the exact opposite direction I want movie fights to go. The entire thing was done by computer & it showed. Watchinig Jackie Chan (at least when he was younger) fight 100 REAL people with REAL mind-blowing movies at REAL speed & REAL weapons is WAY more impressive to me. And how could Neo not even get his glasses knocked off or hurt at all. I know he is a god & the one & everything. But the "suspend you disbelief" thing only goes so far for. There comes a point where it's just plain stupid & that is what that fight was for me.

No vote yet, I guess T3 was the best of those 3. I don't care about Freddy and Jason, and Neo vs. Agent Smith was every bit as stupid and pointless as fighting the Pirates in POTC. If there's no possibility of victory, fighting is pretty stupid.

This one got my vote. &nbsp I didn't really care for the Neo vs. Agent Smith fight and I've yet to see Freddy vs. Jason.

I agree.. it was stupid, happened for no reason, and ended for reason without resolution.

Oh crap.. we've ben talking out of our ass about Fate vs Choice for too long, we need a fight!!

Neo fights Smith for no reason.. the fight continues for no reason.. and Neo just leaves for no reason.

Even the fight before that was the same way.

Neo: I'm here to see the Oracle.
Guy from Mortal Kombat: But first we must fight!
*mortal kombat theme plays, fight, fight, fight, blah blah blah, fight ends for no reason*
Guy from Mortal Kombat: You may go now.

Well said, and quite true.

But it still gets my vote because, regardless of it not being necessary to drive forward the plot, I still loved Neo whooping everyone's ass.

I completely forgot. This thread is basically irrelevant, b/c once Return of the King hits theaters, there will not even be a debate as to the best fight of the year. Actually the only debate will be which Retun of the King fight is the best fight of 2003.

There also was the Wolverine vs Lady Deathstrike fight in X2 - yeah, it wasn't quite as "epic" as I might have hoped, but it was every bit as vicious as you might expect a fight between two unstoppable knife-fingered mutants to be.

Having said that, my vote still goes to the T3 bathroom fight.
