An Affair to Remember - Question about Ending *SPOILERS IN THREAD*
I just saw An Affair to Remember last night and was kind of surprised by the final scene - I had seen the film before but I remembered it differently - I thought that Cary Grant sees the wheelchair in the reflection in the mirror in addition to the painting. How does he learn about Deborah Kerr's condition?

He learns about her condition by the fact that his picture is hanging in her bedroom. There is an earlier scene where his manager (I believe) tells him that the woman who purchased that picture was in a wheelchair. Grant sees the picture, puts 2+2 together and they all live happily ever after.

Ah ok - guess that's what I get for being on the phone while the movie's playing... though I have seen it before and I could have sworn that the wheelchair was at least partially visible in the mirror with the painting... guess not
