Random DS9 S4 Question
So I'm watching my S4 set and I get to the episode "Starship Down." At the end of the episode Sisko throws Kira a baseball hat. Does anyone know what team that hat belongs to? It looks like a Homestead Greys hat (a Negro League team Josh Gibson played for) but I'm not sure.
As minute an issue as this is, it's driving me nuts, HELP!

The DS9 Companion makes no mention of it. Knowing Avery Brooks, it's a possibilty. Though this type of... pride... would not affect the character of Sisko for a while yet. It could be a fake team too. In season 7, Brooks and Lofton get to pick their own caps for an episode, Brooks picked the Giants, and Lofton picked the Braves.

Speaking of baseball in the series, I still say one of the best Star Trek episodes was the pilot of DS9, where:

since this states it's a season 4 question I will not use spoilers. IF you have not seen up to season 4 I do not suggest reading any further.

All valid explinations. I just couldn't help but notice the uncanny resemblence to the Greys cap. I can't do screen captures from the DVD but here's what a Homestead Greys cap looks like:

Yes, that's a Greys hat. I love that episode, also, and just watched it a few days ago. Sisko knows the game and it's history (remember when Dax knew how serious he was about Kassidy because he took her to the Holosuite to see Bob Gibson pitch?
