Amazing Race LEG 12 (8/14)

Well, when I tried posting the poll last Thursday night, dvdtalk was down, so no poll. I have been out of turn until yesterday, and just got in today. So, I'm a bit behind on things.

Yep, It definitely is. This will be the 3rd out of 3 non-elimination legs.

It's almost assured that Jerk and Jerkette will take the FF too, if it's offered. I only hope the Goats can pull it off now that the Clowns are out.

Last week, David and Jeff stated that the fast forward last week was "The last available Fast Forward".

Yeah - there can't be a FF for the last leg of the race - it's a non-elimination leg and IIRC, whenever you get down to three teams, no one gets eliminated until we know the winner. Right? Either way, no one is eliminated tomorrow - and my DTV has the description as "Humorous attempts backfire." No idea what that means.

Just as long as Reichen and Chip don't win, I will be happy. Though I would prefer Kelly and Jon over David and Jeff.

Kelly is one tough chick.

I know Jon can be and ******* (and insecure at times), but he is nowhere near the ******* that Chip is - I feel sorry for Reichen for putting up w/ that crap - he has to be embarrased.

Word of warning. I haven't started watching but the network may interrupt the airing because Bush will be speaking about the east coast power outage. You may want to pad just to be safe if you are recording.

Dammit, that sucks! Jon was tearing up that course, too. Sometimes I am really glad there are two eps for the finals.

Jon was laughing his ass off after that - that was great.

This leg was OK, but it wasn't very tense ... it seemed pretty easy, actually (and no one had to worry about being eliminated).

The clip for the next show though ... whew ... looks like some people go nuts.

I read that ep description too. I didn't see anything happen. Did I miss something?

The only humorous thing I saw was Jon rolling the buggy - Kelly wasn't too happy about that...but backfire? No idea.

I know every episode has a sponsor or two front and center, but it just seemed to be even more obvious with the camera thing last night. The whole challenge revolved around picture taking.

that was great, especially with Jon laughing the whole way through the ride.

It was a pretty laid back leg last night. I think it was pretty obvious everyone was aware that it was a non elimination leg. Otherwise nobody would have chose the horses.

Chip and Reichen deserve NOTHING! They are whiny babies and can't even take a joke!

I think if product placement can help pay some of the cost of the show and keep the costs lower (this show is a lot more expensive to film/produce than say big brother) AND convince CBS to keep the show ... then I am all for that. I don't mind it one bit if it means that it will help keep this show on the air. It's not like the hard core shilling that happens on boring-ass survivor.
Having Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI, Without a Trace) be the producer also probably helps as well - keeping the show on the air I mean

It was pretty tepid because of the obviousness (to anyone familiar with the show and the contestants) that it was a non elimination-leg. Still it had some decent tension between R&C and some good tasks... Jon is a giggling moron... I like that D&J referred to their approach as "analytical" since part of me doubts either of the two know the definition of the word or could spell it. Still, I have the nagging feeling they will win.

Bring on the finale...

Kelly gets more attactive to me each week. To bad there's only one week left. BTW does anyone else think Chip looks hauntingly like Will Farell?
