Kiss Meets Phantom Of The Park 10/28!
Digital Bits just had this on their site. On the same date is Night Of The Comets. Unfortunately it's the company (Pacific Family/Triumph) that released Final Countdown. I'm sure NOTC won't be anamorphic. This company is also releasing Convoy next week & Savannah Smiles soon. For some reason though, Amazon seems to be the only site that sells their dvds? Anyone know if Convoy will be anamorphic- I know it's widescreen?

This is my #1 guilty pleasure. It's Valley Girl meets Dawn of the Dead.

It would be great if KISS did a commentary track:
Gene: "Blah blah blah blah..."
Ace: "Man, I don't even remember making that movie!"
Peter: "Me neither. Hey, how come that doesn't sound like my voice in the film?"
Gene: "Will you guys quit talking, I'm trying to make some important points here... where was I? Oh yeah, blah blah blah blah....."

Okay, I never thought KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park would be released on DVD, so if this is true, I'm so there. Cheesy fun!
But, if I read this correctly, Monster Squad?!! I want!!

true, but i've been waiting, and my boy have been waiting for this film for a long time..
I remember getting $60 for my laserdisc, when i finally sold it off.
but i'll re-phrase that..cause widescreen would be nice
I don't care if it has big heads on the cover art, I want this disc.

Oh my god - I've been doing some reading on the show. I **MUST** have this disc NOW! Any movie with lines like "Leave it to me StarChild, I'll bend these beams with my mind" or Paul Stanley shooting lazers from his eyes must be in my collection without a doubt.
KISS battling Robot Werewolves? I knew it was bad, but I had no idea that it was THIS bad.

I remember seeing it when it was first broadcast on TV. *shudder*. Speaking of bad, anyone remember roller coaster horror film about the same vintage? It may have been made for TV but I think it was a theatrical release. The premise is that someone is rigging rollercoasters to kill people. I can't find it at IMDB and it is driving me crazy.

(which meant that they turned the bass on the speaker system up really loud).
Stars Henry Fonda and George Segal and filmed at Magic Mountain. I was on that rollercoaster just months after the film opened - it blew my mind to ride it. And yet, I lived.
A classic of the mid 70s disaster movie genre.

Wonder if we'll ever see the European theatrical version of the KISS film, called Attack of the Phantoms? I don't think a European DVD exists of that cut.

KISS Meets the Phantom is pretty wretched in that glorious late-70s way. It's not exactly "Star Wars Holiday Special" bad, but...
I'll still be picking it up if the price is right, though.
Same for Night of the Comet.

I just hope the KISS Meets The Phantom DVD is framed right. The VHS and LaserDisc versions had the picture centered too low and the tops of peoples' heads tended to get cut off. I'd rather watch my old VHS tape that I recorded off of CBS late night back around '83 or so.
Having said all of that, I am all over this release. Fits right in with the style of the times (Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, etc. OK, it's not up to the level of the Six Million Dollar Man, but it is on a level playing field with Wonder Woman.... )
