The Sure Thing *No Disk Art*

I picked up the Sure Thing tonight. One of my favorite 80's movie of all time. I have been looking forward to this for a long time but I was bummed when there was no disk art on it. Still though can't complain too much because the film is finally out!

Too bad- if there was disk art on it, you could then complain that you didn't like the picture they chose for it.

How could you have disk art when it's full frame on one side and widescreen on the other?!?!

I'm just glad it's being released. I could care less about the full frame side but there are some who will be happy it's there.

Or in the case of The Sure Thing; the widescreen and pan & scan on side A, and the extras on side B.

And I remember when everyone used to complain when Disney advertised "Full Character Art Work on Disk" as a special feature.

I don't mind the lack of disc art, but it is annoying to have to flip the DVD over to look at the rest of the extras. Why couldn't they just do WS on Side A and P&S on Side B like always?

Or here's a thought. Screw including P&S(or open matte in this case) for a 1.85:1 comedy. The black bars aren't THAT freaking big and if you've got a 16x9 TV, they're practically non-existant. J6P can deal.

Ahh....reminds me of the early days when Disney DVD would list full color disc art as a Special Feature

Didn't Disney DVD used to list full color disc art as a special feature?

It could be worse; it could be like when Disney used to advertise "Full Color Disc Art" as a Special Feature!

Ah, gotcha. A lot of my early Warner Bros. DVDs lack disc art. I've always wondered what was up with this. What is this "Full Screen" side thing they all seem to mention? Is that side actually playable or something?

Just buy one of those fancy printers that can print directly onto cds/dvds and make your own. Print it on the side w/ full-frame and call it a day

Does the insert include full-color art?

What! Are you Crazy?

Actually you are right. Not only that its only $15, so I really don't know what more anyone could want. Seems like a good deal to me.
