Newsradio: Seasons 1 & 2 coming early '04
From TVShowsonDVD.com:
Fans of Newsradio have been waiting for an announcement ever since the show was declared one of the "winners" of the online poll conducted by Columbia TriStar. Well, the show doesn't have a firm date, but seasons 1 and 2 will be released in early 2004. The 3 disc set will contain all 28 episodes of the short first season (7 episodes) and second season (21 episodes). With the discs being packed full of episodes it's unlikely the set will contain any bonus materials.

Yeah I saw this. I might get it. I never really cought the shows while they were new I've only seen a few re-runs, but what I saw was pretty funny. I might check it out for a good price.

Awesome! So much better than that rumored "Best of" collection. Guess someone got my message from the "complaint box".
Where IS that Newsradio quotes thread. It always gives me hearty chuckles.

How many seasons did this run all together? I watched it in the beginning, but kinda drifted away after Hartman's death. How long did it go all together and when did Lovitz join the show?

It ran for five seasons. Jon Lovitz joined the cast in the fifth season.

Can't wait to pick this up!
I didn't watch the show regularly, so there are a lot of episodes I missed.

I have seen every episode multiple times, and will watch them multiple times again. Can't wait for this to come out, and hopefully the rest of the series is not too far behind. I really think that there is going to be a big demand for this...

I agree--I'm a little worried about the video quality there, especially if they do something horrible like give season 1 its own disc (I doubt they'll do it, though). But I love the cover design, even though I wish they had used a season 2 cast photo (I think that one is from S1).

Great news, I wouldn't worry about the picture quality. TVShowsonDVD.com says its 660 minutes, which is 11 hours. That can easily be spread on 3 discs.
Only way it can screw up is if season 1 is isolated onto 1 disc.
I'm glad they are giving us two seasons instead of 1.

I'm glad they're releasing seasons 1 and 2 together; I just wish they'd used 4 discs, like Fox did with Family Guy. They put 495 minutes' worth of Mad About You: Season 1 on two discs, and the picture quality definitely seemed to suffer.
