Isn't that a little bit too much to remember to type in just for a movie site...
Anyway, here's a link:

I'm very curious about Master & Commander. They're obviously hoping this one will do very well - considering the assortment of M&C books, it looks like they've tried buying into a franchise.
I'm not so sure how well it will do though. Weir's a great director, but his films can be so slow that it's easy to lose interest in, or even forget, a character. Not to mention how obvious the CG looks in the trailer - is it that hard to make good-looking waves? Forrest Gump did a very good storm-at-sea without CGI, and the masses just love that The Perfect Storm...

While it is PG13, some jokes were aimed at adults. How many kids do you think caught the jokes about eunuchs?
Anyway, I generally see PG13 as the segway between PG and R. Oddly enough, that's what it is. It isn't exclusively for adults, but it isn't aimed at kids. A compromise. So I think Sean meant that Master and Commander is made directly for adults, rather than meeting at some halfway point.

While it may be true that some moviemakers deliberately add objectionable content to "up" the rating, that does not automatically imply that the film is worthy of an adult's consideration.
We don't yet know what rating Master and Commander will receive, but that has (or should have) no bearing on whether it will appeal to adult audiences. The story and the actors' performances should be the only criteria used in making that decision.

I think that there are a series of books about the Master and Commander, and this film is based on the tenth of the series. I read that on the IMDB message board some time ago.
