What theatre would just throw away money for a midnight screening of Gigli? The amount they would spend paying the staff is probably more than they would bring in in revenue.

I think 10% is a fair estimate.

The bad reviews actually make me want to see the movie. That whole glutton for punishment thing.

Woohoo! It's up to a whopping 1 fresh out of 54 reviews!
"I loved Gigli! Julia Roberts and Richard Gere probably WISH they had this type of chemistry."

The movie has Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in it.
It doesn't matter how bad the critics say it is because
there's people that will go see it just because
they're in it.
I'm intrigued myself just at the thought of "how horrible could
this movie possibly be?"

That's always been my view. A couple of bad reviews I can ignore and might go see it anyway. But when the thumbs downs start hitting 95% or more, ever I can take a hint.
I'm actually hoping that when the DVD comes out it's bare bones, P&S only, with 2.0 sound, in a snapper case!
