October 31 Re-Release of Alien in Theaters?!?
I didn't see this posted anywhere, so. . .

According to DavisDVD.com Alien will see a re-release on October 31 in theatres. Also, never before seen footage re-inserted in. I don't know about you, but seeing Alien in its theatrical glory would be too good.
1000+ screens too, so it looks like it will play somewhere in the vicinity of where I live.

Looks like the Alien Re-Release is true.   I never got a chance to see this in the theater, so I'm really looking forward to October 31st!

At the Comic-Con last weekend, a spokesperson from Fox said Ridley Scott was working on the re-release right now. They showed a rough cut of the trailer. It was a series of jump-cuts from some of the infamous scenes. They said they're going to treat it like a full-blown release so expect a big media blitz.
For those that have never seen it on the big screen, I highly recommend it. For 2 hours I was totally transfixed.... didn't even notice I had bought a large soda until after the credits were done.

Yeah, I'll be catching it for sure. Not to mention it's been quite a while since I've even seen the original Alien, needless to say this should be an enlightening experience.

Hell yeah! I love it when movies that I didn't get to see are re-released. I don't know about new scenes being added, but I'll take what I can get. Any word on how much remastering is being done? (ie, better video, better sound, etc...)
