ghostbusters dvd problem

I've had this copy for a while, and just now found this forum and am wondering.

I bought ghostbusters from a target a while back, and it won't play in any of the 4 dvd players in the house.

The Target wouldn't hear about a return or exchange, is there anything I can do?

Yeah, find another store that sells Ghostbusters and exchange it there. And never shop at Target again! Their return policy stinks!

Welcome to the forum.

If the disc is physically free of any nicks or abrasions and you're pretty sure it's defective, you ought to try to contact Columbia Home Entertainment to see if they'll send you a mailer to exchange it.
I did it with a defective Disney disc and didn't have any problem at all. Don't know about any other companies' policies with questionable discs.

I had the same problem with Ghostbusters. It took me three copies before I got one that wasn't defective. I'd take it back to Target and talk to a manager.

Forget Target.

1. I doubt that they still carry that title. I've noticed they have a limited selection of new releases and some contemporary stuff but after a few months or weeks they get new stuff in.

2. If its more than 90 days and/or open they'll pretty much tell you to go to hell...but in a much nice way than BestBuy would.
